BTS Jungkook’s tweet was selected as one of the most liked tweets of 2021 from around the world.
Recently, Twitter Data officially announced the TOP5 “tweets that received the most ‘likes’ in the world in 2021”. A tweet in which Jungkook uploaded a picture of himself took second place. The tweet received 3.26 million “likes” as a “blonde selfie” tweet that Jungkook posted through BTS‘ official Twitter account in January.
Aside from Jungkook, U.S. President Joe Biden, Twitter, former U.S. President Barack Obama and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris ranked 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. As such, Jungkook became the artist who received the most “likes” in the world in 2021, proving his popularity and influence on Twitter.
Jungkook has been writing dazzling records on Twitter every year. Jungkook was selected as the “most retweeted person in Korea” and won the “Golden Tweet Of The Year” twice thanks to a video tweet of eating French fries while sleeping in 2017 and a video tweet in which he covered Park Won’s “All of My Life” in 2018. In 2019, Jungkook’s “Duh” video tweet became the “Most Retweeted Tweet Worldwide” and in 2020, his “Never Not♥” cover video tweet was selected as the second “Most Retweeted Tweet Worldwide”.
Meanwhile, Jungkook recently topped Tumblr’s “2021 Top K-Pop Stars” for 4 consecutive years as well as YouTube’s “Most-searched K-pop male idol in 2021”.
