BTS Jungkook became the No.1 Artist of the Summer after pop star Harry Styles.
Audacy, the second largest radio company in the United States which owns about 235 local stations, held the “2022 Artist of the Summer” voting through SNS for about a month from August 3rd.
As a result of competing with fierce candidates, Jungkook topped the “2022 Artist of the Summer”.
“2022 Artist of the Summer” nominees include the world’s most popular singers such as BTS Jungkook, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Lizzo, Charlie Puth, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Jack Harlow, Drake and Megan Thee Stallion.
The first place of “2021 Artist of the Summer” belonged to Harry Styles, a member of the popular British idol group One Direction and world-class pop star. In 2022, Jungkook took home this title.
Recently, Jungkook received the honor of being nominated for “Song of Summer” at the American popular music awards ceremony MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) as the first Korean solo singer ever with “Left and Right”.

Besides, when Jungkook said “Chicotle”, the large U.S. franchise “Chipotle” changed its name on Twitter to “Chicotle”. McDonald’s and several fast food companies changed their Twitter names following Jungkook’s past Instagram ID.
Jungkook is boasting the dignity of a “super-trending icon” as well as showing his enormous local popularity, influence and presence by featuring in American pop star Beyonce’s “Virgo Season Yearbook”.
Meanwhile, “Left and Right”, Jungkook’s collaboration song with Charlie Puth, took first place in “2022 Song of the Summer” hosted by global charity RED and Italian car brand Fiat. It was also named in “The 11 Best Songs for Summer 2022” selected by American magazine Esquire and “Song of the Summer 2022” selected by American media outlet Cleveland.com.
