Jungkook, a member of boy group BTS, directly expressed his position on the rumors of BTS’s disbandment.
On June 15th, Jungkook spent time communicating with fans through a live broadcast on V App.
On the same day, Jungkook strongly denied rumors of BTS suspending all activities and disbanding, emphasizing that they are not true.
Adding that BTS members still have many things to do as a group, Jungkook talked about the “BTS’s Dinner” video uploaded on BTS’s official Youtube channel.
He explained, “We took ‘BTS’s Dinner’ as a chance to open up about our future plans. The fact that we plan to do individual activities doesn’t mean we won’t do group activities anymore.”
Jungkook firmly clarified rumors about BTS’s disbandment, saying “I’m telling everyone this in case many might misunderstand. We have no plan to disband. There are still many schedules that we need to do as a group and they will be announced soon.”
Revealing that BTS’s entertainment content “Run BTS” will continue, Jungkook once again stressed, “BTS is forever”, showing affection for his group.
He continued, “There are many times when I feel tired or just want to stay in one place. Even when I experienced that time before, there were lots of work to finish”, saying that he needs time to recharge himself.
Finally, Jungkook said, “Even when we want to carry out an individual activity, we still need to gather many things to develop the plan. In this way, we can show you many different things. Let’s think of it as a new plan. I just want you all to know that we won’t stop doing group activities”, explaining the speculations by expressing his honest thoughts.
Earlier, BTS uploaded on their official Youtube channel a video of the members gathering in one place to confess their deep feelings.
In the video, BTS announced the expiration of their dorm contract and that they would focus on individual activities for the time being. Leader RM shed tears as he said, “I just want BTS to go on for a long time. And for BTS to last long, I think I have to retain who I am”.
The leader’s tearful confession got other members emotional. Jimin honestly shared, “Each of us seems to have our own identity now. There are many things I want to say but I couldn’t honestly confess them all. I was tired and I’m trying to solve it little by little.”
