BTS Jungkook, the “First” K-pop idol to stay that long on Billboard “Hot 100,” reaching for new records every week

BTS Jungkook continued to extend his list of records every week by charting in the Billboard “Hot 100” as the “first” K-pop idol for the “longest” time.

According to the latest chart released by Billboard in the U.S. (August 13th, 2022), Jungkook and Charlie Puth collaboration song “Left and Right” ranked 57th on the main single chart “Hot 100”.

“Left and Right,” a track boasting the powerful digital power of both singers, has been listed on the “Hot 100” chart for six consecutive weeks since its release.

“Left and Right” first entered the Billboard “Hot 100” chart at #22 on July 9th, reaching #47 in the second week, #51 in the third week, #51 in the fourth week, and #47 in the fifth week.

In particular, Jungkook showed off his strong presence as a global vocalist by staying on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Left and Right” as “the First” to stay “the Longest” (6 weeks in a row) on this chart among K-pop idols.

In addition, “Left and Right” also showed its unrivaled digital power on music charts on August 13, 2022, including #38 on Digital Song Sales, #29 on Billboard Global, #19 on Billboard Global, #40 on Radio Song, #17 on Pop Airplay, #20 on Adult Pop Airplay, #7 on Mexico Airplay, #44 in the Philippines, #2 in Singapore, #4 in Malaysia, and #5 in Indonesia.

In addition, “Left and Right” ranked 88th on the Billboard Japan “Hot 100” on August 10th, 2022, having stayed for “7th consecutive week.”

Earlier, Jungkook ranked #95 and #84 on the “Hot 100” chart with his solo songs “Stay Alive” and “My Time,” respectively. “Stay Alive” also achieved a brilliant title of the first Korean webtoon OST to enter the “Hot 100” chart.

Jungkook is continuing his great career in the world’s popular music index, including his collaboration songs “Waste It On Me” in #89, “Savage Love” in #1, #22 for “Stay” which he joined in the songwriting and #81 for the Japanese song “Flim Out” which he took part in the composition.

Along with Billboard, “Left and Right” ranked 85th in the UK’s Official Single Chart Top 100 (July 29thth to August 4), which is considered one of the world’s top three music charts, and has kept his name there for “six consecutive weeks.”
