BTS Jungkook Shatters Spotify Records with Solo Debut Single ‘Seven’

BTS’ Jungkook has achieved a new record with his first solo single ‘Seven’.

The ‘World Music Awards’ recently noted, “‘Seven’ has surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify in the shortest period among all male artists’ songs worldwide.”

Jungkook achieved this feat in just 23 days, surpassing previous records by a significant margin ahead of Harry Styles (28 days) and Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI (36 days).

After its release on July 14th, ‘Seven’ crossed 100 million streams in its first week and reached 200 million streams in just two weeks. It hit 300 million streams in 23 days.

Jungkook has also entered the ‘Guinness World Records’. The ‘Guinness’ officially recognized Jungkook’s two records on August 2nd and included them in the Guinness Book.

Guinness stated, “‘Seven’ had the most plays among all male artist tracks on Spotify in a week, with 89,748,171 plays (after filtering).”

‘Seven’ has also maintained its position at the top of the Spotify ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ chart for three consecutive weeks, marking a historic achievement for both the longest period and the first time for a K-pop artist.

On the ‘Daily Top Song Global’ chart, it secured the first position for 25 consecutive days, setting a new record for the longest period by an Asian artist.
