Jungkook, a member of boy group BTS, shared his thoughts in a long message in commemoration of 10th debut anniversary.
On June 14th, BTS Jungkook published a long message on the fan community platform Weverse, saying, “Everyone wrote it in such a touching manner… I thought about how I should write this message, but decided that I’d write it in my own way. “
The male idol stated, “Although we have done countless things together with ARMY during such a long period, 10 years have already passed by in the blink of an eye. I don’t clearly remember each and every moment. There were many good and happy times, as well as sad and tearful moments, but they don’t feel very vivid to me.”
“Of course, if I dig up each and every memory, I would probably remember, but since I always focus on the present, it seems like I quickly forget the past… Well, the hyungs (older members) seem to remember everything… But I know when I say it too!!! It’s just,,, those memories are resting for a while! Everything is still in this Jungkookie’s heart”, he also added.
Jungkook laughed and said, “And once again, in the blink of an eye, 10 years have passed. It means that (this time) was enjoyable for me! If it wasn’t fun and happy, time would have felt so slow!”
He went on to express his heartfelt gratitude to fans, saying, “Thanks to ARMY, in the blink of an eye, it’s already been 10 years!!! Thank you so much for being with us for 10 years!!! I hope that both ARMYs and BTS will be healthy, and that we will continue to walk together, loving and supporting each other in a brilliant way. I cannot imagine a life without ARMY anymore.”
Finally, Jungkook concluded in a light-hearted yet touching manner, “10th year anniversary, what’s so special about it? Let’s go for the 20th anniversary!”
On the other hand, BTS debuted on June 13th, 2013, and celebrated their 10th year debut anniversary this year. Currently, BTS’s 10th anniversary is being celebrated in collaboration with the city of Seoul under the name “BTS Festa”, wherein various events are organized, including a purple-themed festival at eight landmarks in Seoul.
