BTS Jungkook is Determined to Enter the US Market “Prepared with the Feeling of Debut, Not a Comeback”

BTS Jungkook expressed his determination as he embarked on his first promotions as a soloist. 

On July 29th, a video of Jungkook’s appearance as a guest on Suga’s “Suchwita” on BTS YouTube channel was revealed.

Jungkook, who is on intermittent fasting for his solo promotions, said, “I follow a 20-hour fasting rule. I’m not doing it compulsively, but now that I’m making a comeback, I need to take good care of myself.” He showed a professional attitude.

Regarding his first solo song ‘Seven,’ he said, “If this song didn’t exist, I would still be resting. Resting was so enjoyable. I savored it, and ‘Seven’ opened the door for me.”

He worked on ‘Seven’ in the United States and emphasized, “I worked hard to uphold the pride of K-idols.” He repeatedly mentioned the sense of responsibility, “I approached it as a debut in the US market, not as a comeback.”

Jungkook honestly expressed his feelings about being labeled a ‘genius’ throughout his activities. He said, “It felt too burdensome. I didn’t want to hear such compliments. Because of those comments, I had to work even harder.” To this, Suga encouraged Jungkook, “If you have talent, you should keep going, right?“

In response to Jungkook’s comment that he thinks meeting the members was crucial for him, Suga replied, “Except for you, all the other members think, ‘It’s fortunate that Jungkook is with us.’ Our team is genuinely grateful for that.”

Suga asked Jungkook about his dream as a human, not just as BTS Jungkook. Jungkook replied, “The premise is wrong. Human Jungkook and BTS Jungkook cannot be separated.” He added, “I truly feel ‘cool’ when I think I’m okay with myself. I still think I lack in some aspects. I hope the moment comes when I can satisfy myself by working hard.”

In response, Suga praised Jungkook, “You just don’t know it, but everyone else thinks the same way. I also think so.“
