BTS Jin will no longer postpone his military service, officially canceled delay request 

BTS Jin, who was allowed to postpone military service, has canceled this priority. 

On October 17th, Big Hit Music, the agency of world-famous BTS, issued a statement regarding the mandatory military service of BTS Jin. In particular, it stated, “Jin applied to cancel his enlistment at the end of this month and will follow the enlistment procedure of the Military Manpower Administration.”

In addition, the agency also published another statement about the military service of other BTS members, saying, “Since the creation of BTS over 10 years ago, the band has risen to international success, broken records, and catapulted Kpop into the global stratospheres. Big Hit Music has focused to the milestone moment when it would be possible to respect the needs of the country and for these healthy young men to serve with their countrymen, and that’s now.”

It also added, “Group member Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government. Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans. Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.”

Previously, Jin, who was born in 1992, and other BTS members were given the priority to postpone their military service until the age of 30 due to their contributions to promoting the image of Korea.
