BTS Jin receiving visit from BTS Jimin and J-Hope draws worldwide attention
Jin (BTS) proves worldwide stardom with his military enlistment being broadcasted around the world.
On March 4th, Jin released a photo on his Instagram account, standing side by side with the members with a succinct caption, “Welcome.”
Not only fans but media around the world as well shifted attention to the update of the global boy group member who recently went to the military.
Two major US media, i.e. RollingStone and Billboard, gave their separate update of Jin’s current status. Billboard reported the information with the title “Jin Reunites With Two of His BTS Bandmates in First Instagram Post Since Enlisting in Military” on their website and official Twitter Instagram. Moreover, the news website also teased Jin’s prepared gift the idol has for fans, “In January, he shared an uplifting video that was filmed before he left, promising he’d ‘be back soon,’ as well as a first look at himself in uniform.”
In a similar fashion, RollingStone also updated the status of Jin in an article titled “Jin Gives ARMY an Army Update in New Photo With BTS Bandmates J-Hope and Jimin.”
The status update of Jin also attracted the attention of numerous foreign media outlets, including GMA News, Inquirer, TIMES NOW and Clout News, to name a few. Even CNN delivered a live report of Jin’s enlistment in Yeoncheon.
The attention he received continued throughout to the completion ceremony of his training. On their Twitter and website, CNN wrote “K-pop star Jin of BTS completes basic training for military service in South Korea” along with his selfie in the buzzcut military hairstyle.
