Confusion within the Hanteo’s indices infuriates Jimin’s fans.
Of late, the BTS member Jimin dropped his solo album “Face” along with the MV for his title song “Like Crazy.” On the first day of release, Jimin’s music product garnered impressive achievements.
The male idol is the solo artist with the highest first-day album sales and the first solo artist to sell 1 million copies on Hanteo. The chart on the website recorded that the “Face” CD version sold 1,501,589 copies while Weverse gained 252,957 purchases. In total, 1,754,546 copies were sold on the first day.
However, in reality, Hanteo only recognizes 991,437 sold copies for the first-day album sales of Jimin’s “Face.” The representative of the page also stated that there was no error in the system and the page is updating statistics normally. However, Hanteo’s side did not mention the mismatch between the Hanteo chart and the recognized sales figure. Fans are currently demanding a clearer explanation from Hanteo on the matter.
