BTS Jimin selected as one of the artists most listened to by “Emirates Airlines” customers in 2023

Emirates Airlines, an international airline serving 140 destinations worldwide, recently analyzed data on the content most consumed by passengers on board during the year 2023. According to the airline’s data, Jimin’s name appeared on the list of global musicians, proving his ability to capture the hearts of numerous global fans as a K-pop solo artist.

From a library of over 3,000 albums, 500 curated playlists, 40,000 tracks and 4,000 hours of music and podcasts, BTS Jimin made it to the list of Emirates customers’ favorite artists. Global platforms and entertainment outlets, including Mashable Middle East and Sportskeeda, praised Jimin’s accomplishments.

Accordingly, “Mashable Middle East”, a global multi platform that deals with media and entertainment, commented favorably, “Jimin is conquering the skies. Jimin’s melodies stood tall alongside chart-toppers like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. The FACE singer, often dubbed ‘K-pop’s IT Boy’, has now earned the affectionate title of ‘Global IT Boy’ owing to his immense popularity.”

“SK pop”, run by the global media outlet “Sportskeeda”, wrote, “Fans are delighted to hear that the passengers enjoyed Jimin’s music on their journeys as they took to social media to celebrate this special moment.” Fans’ vivid reactions were introduced, such as “The world is in your grasp, Jimin!”, “Called global IT boy for a reason”, “I did this too. When I flew by Emirates this year, the first thing I did was also find Jimin”…

The media outlet continued, “(Jimin) has established himself as a notable singer in the pop music industry, with millions of listeners on music service platforms like Spotify. Displaying his impact on global listeners and fans, Like Crazy entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No.1 (dated April 8, 2023). This feat made him the first K-pop solo artist to do so. Meanwhile, three songs from his album made it to the ten most streamed K-pop songs on the Spotify list. On No.9, it was Set Me Free Pt.2 with 248.3 million streams, No.7 was Like Crazy (English Ver.) with 268.6 million streams and lastly, on No.3 was Like Crazy with 708.1 million streams.”

The American entertainment information site “Enstarz” also covered the news in detail and added, “In May, just two months after making his solo debut, Jimin was recognized by Guinness World Records as the fastest solo K-Pop artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify (male) in just 393 days. Per Guinness, Jimin’s ‘FACE’ album was ‘the catalyst for his surge in popularity’ with support from his previous singles and song collaborations with other artists.”
