BTS Jimin has made a huge impact on the domestic music scene with his first solo album, “FACE.”
According to data released by Hanteo Chart on March 31st, BTS Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE,” which was released on March 24th, sold 1.45 million copies in its first week. This achievement broke the record for the highest first-week sales by a solo artist in Korean music history.
On its first day of release, “FACE” sold over 1.02 million copies, making it the first K-pop album by a solo artist to achieve “million seller” status on the first day of release on Hanteo Chart.
In addition to its domestic success, “FACE” also topped Japan’s Oricon charts in the categories of “Weekly Digital Album Ranking,” “Weekly Album Ranking,” and “Weekly Total Album Ranking.” This marks Jimin’s first-ever triple crown as a solo artist in the weekly music rankings.
Furthermore, during the March 30th episode of Mnet’s “MCountdown,” Jimin performed the title track “Like Crazy” and the pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt.2.” He won No. 1 on Mcountdown for two consecutive weeks.
