As BTS J-Hope (real name Jung Ho Seok) is scheduled to enter the boot camp in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do tomorrow (April 18th), more than 1,000 people are expected to gather around the guardhouse.
On April 17th, News1 reported that the local government, military, police and fire department held a preparatory safety measure meeting and inspection, expecting that citizens would gather on the day of J-Hope‘s enlistment.
According to the report, about 1,000 people are expected to gather, including enlistees, their families, reporters and fans.
J-Hope will enter the 36th Division Recruit Training Center, and his scheduled discharge date is October 17th, 2024.
Earlier on April 14th, the above-mentioned institutions held a safety measure meeting at the guardhouse of the boot camp where J-Hope will enter.
The police checked the area around the guardhouse today (April 17th). The police said they plan to support control personnel on the day of J-Hope’s enlistment.
The fire department is also preparing a plan to support emergency and rescue personnel in preparation for the number of injured people. Wonju-si and the military authorities are also reportedly preparing for safety accidents that may occur due to crowding of people.
Meanwhile, the 36th Division is in charge of local defense in Wonju-si, Hoengseong-gun, Taebaek-si, Yeongwol-gun, Jeongseon-gun, Hongcheon-gun and Pyeongchang-gun. It is known to the general public as the “White Tiger Unit”.
J-Hope is the second member of BTS to serve in the military, following Jin, who enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the army last December.
