BTS “Dynamite” hit 1.3 billion views on YouTube

The music video for “Dynamite” recorded 1.3 billion views, becoming BTS’s 3rd video to hit this milestone.

The number of YouTube views of the music video for the digital single ‘Dynamite’ released by BTS on August 21st last year exceeded 1.3 billion at 10:51 pm on the 19th. As a result, ‘Dynamite‘ became BTS’s 3rd video to hit this milestone after ‘DNA‘ and ‘Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)‘. ‘Dynamite‘ is a light disco pop genre song, and it is a ‘healing song’ containing the wishes of BTS to deliver a message of hope in a difficult time for everyone due to COVID-19.

BTS has set many records and achievements thanks to Dynamite. Dynamite reached the top spot on iTunes in 100 different countries and it is the fastest song to achieve this milestone. The music video for ‘Dynamite‘ is the “fastest music video in YouTube history to hit over 60 Million views”. “Dynamite” additionally became BTS‘ first No. 1 on the airplay-, sales- and streaming-based Billboard Hot 100, when it concurrently launched atop the Sept. 5, 2020, chart. It also marked the Hot 100’s first leader by an all-South Korean group. In addition, on November 2nd, it obtained the ‘Triple Platinum’ certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which is given to music that has sold more than 3 million units and more.
