Boy groups BTS and TXT were awarded with Worldwide Fans’ Choice at the 2023 MAMA Awards
The 2023 MAMA Awards was held at Tokyo Dome in Japan at 6 p.m. on November 28th and hosted by singer Jeon So-mi.
That day, TXT took the stage after being named as the winner of Worldwide Fans’ Choice. Expressing their feelings, the group said, “We are very grateful to PD Bang Si-hyuk and all the staff of Big Hit. Also, we believe that this award contains the huge love of fans. We love you all”.
BTS, who received the same award but couldn’t attend the awards ceremony, delivered their acceptance speech through a video.
Meanwhile, 2023 MAMA will continue with the second day on November 29th. The awards this year introduced the concept “ONE I BORN”, which means “I”, the only being in the world of infinite possibilities, meeting “MAMA” and becoming the perfect “ONE” with positive energy.
The lineup of performers includes TVXQ, (G)I-DLE, SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, Enhypen, El7z Up, RIIZE, Zerobaseone, BOYNEXTDOOR, Kep1er, Xikers, NiziU, and “Street Woman Fighter 2” Dance Crews, etc.
