BTS 10th Anniversary Festa attracts 750,000 people as Yeouido turned purple

Numerous fans gathered to celebrate BTS’ 10th debut anniversary at the BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA @Yeouido. 

On June 17th, the event “BTS 10th Anniversary Festa @Yeouido” took place in the vicinity of Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul. 

The event, held to celebrate BTS’ 10th debut anniversary, consisted of various activities such as exhibitions, experiential programs, a corner where member RM directly communicated with ARMY (fandom of BTS), and a “BTS 10th Anniversary Commemorative Fireworks Show” combining BTS’s hit songs and Jungkook’s narration.

The exhibitions and experiential programs included “BTS History Month”, which showcases the 10-year history of BTS, an exhibition of stage costumes from “Run BTS”, a commemorative sculpture for the 10th anniversary festival, a “BTS Family Photo Exhibition” completed with a photo zone, an interactive event called “Bring the Song: My Own BTS Playlist”. a tattoo sticker experience booth, and a “BTS Live Screen”, which allows fans to watch videos related to BTS on the large screen.

At the event venue, various purple symbols representing BTS were installed throughout the event venue, beautifully decorating the celebration of BTS’s 10th anniversary.

Furthermore, ARMYs enjoyed the event atmosphere by gathering on the grass field in front of the large screen as if having a picnic. They enthusiastically sang along to the songs playing in the videos and cheered together, demonstrating their extraordinary affection for BTS.

It was expected that a large crowd of approximately 750,000 people, including global ARMYs, would gather at this event to commemorate BTS’ 10th debut anniversary, and the government was reported to have devoted significant efforts to ensuring safety management. Prior to the main event, the Seoul Metropolitan Government conducted intensive inspections, such as arranging police deployment, verifying step-by-step scenarios for crowd control, and establishing a cooperative system among the organizers, local governments, and fire-fighting departments.

Additionally, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety formed a joint inspection team with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the police, and the fire department on the day of the event to inspect measures for crowd congestion accidents and traffic control and emergency medical measures.

From 8:30 PM on the day of the event, a 30-minute fireworks display was also scheduled. Therefore, Yeouido Station on Subway Line 5, which is closest to the venue, plans to pass without stopping or temporarily close the entrance for safety.
