On September 7 (local time), the UK’s Daily Mail reported that those close to Spears have witnessed the situation countless times but are unwilling to intervene.
A family insider said, “She is not doing well at all,” while another source admitted, “We fear for her future.”
According to the report, “Her house is a mess. She doesn’t clean up after the dogs, she doesn’t have someone there cleaning every day, and she is unable to function like a normal adult.”
Just last month, Spears worried fans when she uploaded a video of herself dancing inside her messy Thousand Oaks, California home. The clip appeared to show dog feces scattered on the floor.
Fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) with reactions such as, “What on earth is happening to Spears?” and “Is this really the price of fame?”
Britney Spears was freed from her father’s infamous conservatorship in November 2021. She later married fitness trainer Sam Asghari, who is 12 years younger, but the two divorced last year after just two years of marriage.
