British Ambassador Thanks BLACKPINK for Attending Queen Elizabeth II’s Birthday Party

The British Ambassador to South Korea talked about BLACKPINK’s attendance at Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday party last year. 

On the broadcast of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ aired on June 21st, British Ambassador to South Korea Colin Crooks was asked about his favorite Korean singer, to which he replied, “I mostly like singers from the 90s, Seo Taiji. But for contemporary singers, it’s BLACKPINK.”


He continued, “There are many BLINKs at the embassy. Especially last year, BLACKPINK came as special guests to Queen Elizabeth’s birthday party.” 

He added, “Two years ago, when the UK was the host country for the UN Climate Change Conference, BLACKPINK served as climate change ambassador. We were grateful for them.

BLACKPINK, who served as ambassador for promoting the 26th UN Climate Change Conference, made headlines when they attended Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday celebration in May of last year.
