BOYNEXTDOOR held a media showcase on September 4th in Seoul ahead of the release of their mini 1st album ‘WHY…’.

BOYNEXTDOOR debut

BOYNEXTDOOR, launched by HYBE and KOZ Entertainment, made their debut with their first single album ‘WHO!’ on May 30th. As a group with a goal to express everyday life that their peers can relate to through music, they consist of members born from 2003, 2004, to 2006. Their name reflects their pursuit of “enjoyable music to listen to,” focusing on unadorned stories from everyday life.

Making a comeback in approximately three months after their debut, BOYNEXTDOOR continues to rise in popularity. Leehan said, “We learned a lot through our debut activities. We are excited and happy this time as well. Through this activity, we will show you a stage you can trust and enjoy.”

September 4th, when BOYNEXTDOOR’s album is released, also marks the debut day for SM Entertainment’s rookie boy group RIIZE

Amidst the competition between the male rookies from two major forces in the K-pop market, HYBE and SM, Taesan expressed BOYNEXTDOOR’s hope for a mutually positive influence. He said, “I hope we can have happy promotions while positively impacting each other,” and Sungho said, “I want to work together and be influenced positively by those we promote with.”
