BOL4’s Ahn Ji-young talks about the issue related to her unclear pronunciation when singing 

BOL4’s Ahn Ji-young revealed her reaction to the comment “I can’t understand what you are singing because of your pronunciation” on KBS 2TV’s program “Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook”.

The episode of “Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook” to be aired on June 3rd features Bolbbalgan4 (BOL4), Forestella, Kassy, and Son Dong-woon.

At the recording, BOL4’s Ahn Ji-young performed a medley of Bolbbalgan4’s representative songs “Some” and “Travel” as well as “Love Story”, which is currently climbing up on music charts in April this year.

Touched by the enthusiastic cheers from the audience, Ahn Ji-young expressed her feelings, saying “I think I’m gonna cry because so many people are enjoying the stage together with me today.”

In addition, Ahn Ji-young told an anecdote about her unique style and pronunciation when singing. She acknowledged the ‘small controversy’ over her pronunciation. Revealing herself as a fan of Amy Winehouse, Ahn Ji-young said, “I copied a lot of things from Amy Winehouse’s music”, honestly confessing that she was influenced by her idol.

Ahn Ji-young also drew attention by choosing the song that always makes her cry. She picked “To My Youth” and explained, “I wrote this song because I want to be comforted. It has become more meaningful since I also give comfort to so many people.” Ahn Ji-young then performed a live stage of “To My Youth”.
