In a heartfelt act of generosity, K-pop icon BoA has donated 100 million KRW (approximately $77,000 USD) to the orthopedic department of Samsung Medical Center in Seoul.

The donation, made on July 30, is intended to support patients struggling to afford non-covered treatments due to financial constraints.

BoA, who recently underwent surgery and recovery after being diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis, expressed her wish for the donation to provide real comfort and help to others facing similar medical hardships.

“As someone who recently faced a challenging diagnosis and recovery, I want to offer even a small measure of support to those enduring the same difficulties,” BoA shared through her agency.

This is not the first time the star has shown such profound compassion. She previously donated 100 million KRW to assist young people preparing for life after institutional care and became the 3100th member of the Honor Society, as well as the 700th member of the W Honor Society—a group of philanthropic women contributors. On Children’s Day, she also contributed 50 million KRW to Asan Medical Center for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients.

Meanwhile, BoA is gearing up for a major career milestone. She will be releasing her 11th full-length album titled “Crazier” on August 4, marking her 25th debut anniversary—a testament to her enduring impact on the K-pop industry.
