BoA Appears On “Marry My Husband” As Na In-woo’s Fiancée, Making Drama Comeback With Villain Role

Episode 7 of tvN’s Mon-Tue drama “Marry My Husband”, which aired on January 22nd, revealed the first appearance of Oh Yu-ra.

Yoo Han-il (Moon Sung-geun), Chairman of U&K Group and the grandfather of Yoo Ji-hyuk (Na In-woo), looked at the newspaper and praised Cloud Airlines Vice Presiden Oh Yu-ra in front of Yoo Ji-hyuk.

Yoo Ji-hyuk asked, “Grandpa, you want me to marry Yu-ra?”. Grandfather continued, “How can I force you to make my wish come true? I know from the beginning that you and Yura had no feelings for each other. But there’s still a promise, right?”.

Oh Yu-ra’s face was not shown since the picture only revealed her body, but this character had been confirmed to be played by BoA. The photo provided by BoA’s agency SM Entertainment was taken during the female singer’s press conference to commemorate her 20th debut album “BETTER” in 2020.

Earlier in November last year, SM Entertainment confirmed BoA’s appearance in “Marry My Husband”, saying “Please watch the broadcasts to find out more about her character”, raising fans’ expectations. It was only in episode 7 that BoA’s character Oh Yu-ra appeared.

In the original web novel, Oh Yu-ra is the granddaughter of a chaebol family, who is believed to have officially engaged to Yoo Ji-hyuk due to joking words from their parents. She is described as a villain who stalks Kang Ji-won and funds Park Min-hwan.

BoA will make her comeback on the small screen seven years after KBS 2TV’s “Listen to Love”. It is not yet known how the character will be adapted in the drama, so attention is focused on how BoA will express villain Oh Yu-ra.
