BLACKPINK’s Lisa Rumored to Sign with US Record Label, When Can We Expect YG’s Official Statement?

There have been ongoing rumors about the contract renewal of BLACKPINK’s Lisa with YG Entertainment 

Recently, online rumors have circulated that Lisa was offered a contract with a 50 billion won signing bonus by YG but she turned it down. On September 15th, YG responded, “The re-signing with Lisa is under discussion. There is no official confirmation of these rumors.”

On September 20th, foreign media outlet ‘star.setn’ reported that there is a high possibility that Lisa will not re-sign with YG but will instead sign with a US record label. Accordingly, the US record label offered Lisa a signing bonus higher than 50 billion won and promised entertainment ventures such as music, videos, fashion, and concerts in addition to six albums. There are also rumors that Lisa may have ownership of her future music and the right to establish her own studio and sign with other musicians.

Given their global popularity, the future plans of BLACKPINK members naturally draw the attention of the industry and fans worldwide. Therefore, there are many speculations and rumors.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK has successfully concluded their “Born Pink” world tour encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on September 16th and 17th. Lisa expressed her gratitude to the fans at the concert, “Thank you for lighting up my 20s. I love you.”

Expectations are high for whether the members of BLACKPINK can continue together as a group beyond the “7-year curse.”
