BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s Sensitiveness To Age, “I’m 27, Junior Idols Are 7 Years Younger Than Me”
The six members of “Apartment 404” will go on a trip to 1998 while looking for the solution to the first case
The first episode of tvN’s “Apartment 404”, which will air at 8:40 p.m. on February 23rd, will unveil the real-life mystery journey of six residents Yoo Jae-suk, Cha Tae-hyun, Oh Na-ra, Yang Se-chan, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Lee Jung-ha discovering the reality of extraordinary things against a familiar backdrop of an apartment.
In episode 1, the members will solve the first case. Summoned to an apartment in 1998, the residents stimulate viewers’ curiosity about the hidden secret with their endless reasoning, repeated twists, doubts, and double checks on each other.
The pre-release video uploaded by tvN earlier draws keen attention by giving a glimpse of “Apartment 404” atmosphere, which is full of retro sensibility, and showing the members moving to the apartment. The six residents run toward the scene in an old car, which was considered one of the most popular cars in 1998.
When Yoo Jae-suk asks, “Are you 29?”, Jennie replies, “I’m 27. It’s 27 after my birthday”. Hearing that, Yoo Jae-suk smiles and comments, “Jennie is also sensitive to her age”. Jennie shares, “I don’t know what to do now, After doing overseas activities, I became a senior to idol groups nowadays. I still can’t get used to it. They are all about seven years younger than me”.
In the meantime, Jennie transforms into Kim Hee-sun in the drama “Tomato”, drawing attention. Yang Se-chan and Yoo Jae-suk praise her beauty, saying “Jennie is really Jennie”. Yoo Jae-suk recreates his appearance in the past.
Having a hard time because of the manual shift gear of the old car, the members’ reactions draw laughter. There is also an intense situation in which the car stops on a hill they want to avoid and makes louder noises.
In addition, Oh Na-ra, who debuted in 1997, and Cha Tae-hyun, who debuted in 1995, look back on their memories while listening to the radio. On the contrary, Lee Jung-ha shares, “I was born at that time”. In the later part, the residents pay attention to the breaking news of the construction site of an apartment in Seoul, raising fans’ anticipation for the official broadcast.
