BLACKPINK’s Jennie Turns Rice Into Porridge With Her Clumsy Cooking Skills
BLACKPINK’s Jennie made viewers burst into laughter with her clumsy rice cooking scene on “Apartment 404”
Episode 1 of tvN’s entertainment program “Apartment 404”, which aired on February 23rd, showed Yoo Jae-suk, Cha Tae-hyun, Oh Na-ra, Yang Se-chan, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Lee Jung-ha transforming into apartment residents and going on a time travel to 1998.
During lunch, Jennie said, “I’ll give it a try”, as she decided to cook rice. Seeing that, Yang Se-chan exclaimed, “When will there be any other chance to eat rice cooked by Jennie?”, but he couldn’t take her eyes off Jennie’s clumsy appearance.
As Yang Se-chan kept watching Jennie, Yoo Jae-suk directly asked, “But do you know how to cook?”, drawing laughter. He and Yang Se-chan then teased Jennie, saying “You rinse the rice this way? Are you making rice balls?”, “You’re squeezing the rice too much”, etc.
Later, Jennie suffered difficulties because of the old rice cooker. Yang Se-chan helped Jennie with it and continued teasing, saying “There’s no cooking button. You have to keep touching the cooker to cook rice”. In response, Jennie cutely said, “Don’t lie to me”, creating a friendly atmosphere with her complaint.
After the rice was fully cooked, Jennie opened the rice cooker’s lid with high anticipation. Upon seeing the rice full of water, saying “I’m closing it, cut. NG NG”. However, she got caught by Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan. The two commented, “It’s cooked. We can eat it after having a colonoscope”.
