BLACKPINK’s Jennie Spotted Filming New TV Show Amid Uncertainty Over YG Contract Renewal

Although her decision on contract renewal with YG hasn’t been made, Jennie is actively working

On October 26th, a photo of BLACKPINK’s Jennie filming a variety show with Yoo Jae-suk quickly spread online. In the photos, Jennie stands out with her pink headband and cardigan. Yoo Jae-suk is seen wearing a checkered shirt and a bucket hat. They were joined by others, including Oh Nara, Yang Se-chan, Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Jung-ha.

The cast members were dressed in retro-style clothing, and the vehicle they were standing around was an older model, leading netizens to speculate that this may be related to the shooting concept of the upcoming TV show “Apartment 404” (working title).

The person who shared this encounter explained that it was a photo taken during the filming of a new tvN variety show called “Apartment 404” as a behind-the-scenes sneak peek.

“Apartment 404” is a real variety show set in an apartment complex, directed by PD Jung Cheol-min, known for “Six Sense.” Yoo Jae-suk and Cha Tae-hyun have already confirmed their participation, and Lee Jung-ha, who gained popularity through Disney Plus’s “Moving,” is now officially part of the cast. Oh Nara and Yang Se-chan have also been reported to join the show, raising expectations for the chemistry among the cast members.

Yoo Jae-suk previously worked with Jennie on SBS’s “Village Survival, the Eight.” It’s anticipated that Yoo Jae-suk will bring a different side to his role in “Apartment 404” alongside other cast members.

“Apartment 404” is scheduled for broadcast next year. PD Jung Cheol-min has previously collaborated with several cast members, including Lee Jung-ha.

Meanwhile, Jennie, along with other BLACKPINK members, is in discussions with YG Entertainment, regarding contract renewal. Although rumors about her leaving the agency have circulated, YG Entertainment has only responded that discussions are ongoing.
