BLACKPINK’s Jennie named a “K-Avenger” next to top actors with her upcoming acting debut in HBO’s “The Idol” 

Expectations are high for Jennie’s first role in “The Idol”.

In an article by foreign media outlet The Netizens Report, Jennie is described as the “Global Icon of the MZ Generation”.

“BLACKPINK’s Jennie has started to challenge herself with acting. As the hottest MZ generation icon in the world, the scale of her debut as an actress is also world-class. ‘The Idol’ is a series of 6 episodes that depicts the relationships of Pop idols and the music industry.”

The media added, “This is a possible move for Jennie, who is an active girl group that is drawing attention from all over the world and has native English skills.”

The “K-Avengers” (Korean actors getting cast in Hollywood series and movies) listed in the article include Jennie, Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, Ma Dong Seok, Park Seo Joon, Kim Yoon Ji.
