BLACKPINK turns up encore stage in New Jersey despite pouring rain, Jennie escapes life-threatening situation

On August 18, BLACKPINK held their second “BORN PINK” encore concert in New Jersey, the U.S. Despite the pouring rain, BLACKPINK gave their most dazzling performances.

Under the rainy weather, BLACKPINK turned up the stage and hyped up audiences with their performances. Unbothered by the weather, BLACKPINK took the chance to show off their unexpected attractiveness. According to audience reports, the concert staff initially wanted BLACKPINK to postpone the concert for safety reasons. Nonetheless, the YG girl group continued as planned because they did not want fans to wait for them in the downpour.

Another incident also took place at the concert. During the “Forever Young” performance, four members stepped on a rising platform to carry out the rest of the stage. When Jennie leaned against the railing, the iron bar moved out of place but, fortunately, did not fall, leaving the idol and fans with a heart attack.

BLACKPINK joins Beyoncé and Taylor Swift as the only female artists to sell out two consecutive concerts at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  BLACKPINK will continue their encore concerts in Las Vegas on August 18.
