BLACKPINK to reportedly continue their relationship with YG…Contract renewal is “possible”

According to Star News on April 4th, all BLACKPINK members, whose contracts are about to expire at the end of August, are determined to renew their contracts.

According to people close to the members, BLACKPINK members, whose contracts are about to expire in 4 months, intend to continue their relationship with YG Entertainment unless there is a special reason.

The impact of the world tour seems to have been great.

BLACKPINK is currently conducting the largest world tour of a K-pop girl group with 1.5 million attendees worldwide.

Last year, BLACKPINK successfully completed 14 North American concerts in 7 cities and 10 European concerts in 7 cities. They are currently meeting Asian fans.

They will perform as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States in mid-April and at the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in the United Kingdom in July.

All of them are things that will be achieved as one team called “BLACKPINK”. Officials said that the trust in YG Entertainment seems to have further increased through this.

BLACKPINK, which officially debuted on August 8th, 2016, has been active for nearly 7 years and has stood tall as a global top girl group. They have set brilliant records on leading overseas charts such as Billboard, and have established themselves as a “global hot icon” to the extent that all members are serving as global brand ambassadors.

If BLACKPINK members renew their contracts in August, YG Entertainment will continue to be a strong axis of K-pop with G-Dragon, BLACKPINK, Winner, AKMU, Treasure and the rookie girl group BABYMONSTER, who is about to debut.
