In a recent interview with Billboard, BLACKPINK members expressed their excitement and anticipations for the 2023 Coachella.
On April 15th and 22nd, BLACKPINK will perform at one of the world’s largest music festivals, the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. As the d-day approaches, the girl group expresses their feelings in an interview with Billboard.
According to Jennie, BLACKPINK are excited and honored to return to Coachella as headliners. “We had the best time in 2019 and can’t wait to experience the energy of the audience again”, the female idol also said, adding that while the group are nervous, they are ready to have fun.
Meanwhile, Rosé, who found BLACKPINK’s return to Coachella “unreal”, mentioned that their 2019 Coachella performance truly woke them up “to be motivated, to dream on and dream big.” The singer also revealed that she has never expected something this big, performing as headliners for a festival they “have all grown up admiring”.
On the other hand, Jisoo gave a big laugh and mentioned how meeting BLINKs up close always brings her joy. “2019 Coachella was full of fascination and excitement, but we have no clue how 2023 Coachella will be”, she added, at the same time promising that BLACKPINK will show their improvement on stage and asking the audience to stay tuned.
Afterwards, Lisa commented that BLACKPINK’s motto is to “enjoy every stage and moment”, as if it’s the last. According to the female idol, BLACKPINK are working hard for their Coachella performance, and will provide the best stage by doing their best and interacting with the audience by energy.
Finally, Rosé concluded by expressing the group’s excitement of returning to Coachella, as well as revealing that BLACKPINK felt the “immense popularity”.
