Recently, Malaysian singer Jeryl Lee Pei Ling (23) has garnered significant attention online as a “BLACKPINK Lisa look-alike”. She first gained recognition when she became a finalist on the 2016 reality audition program “Sing! China” alongside Nathan Hartono. Her popularity increased after winning the Chinese reality program “The Next 2023” last month.
Jeryl’s rising popularity has led to frequent mentions of her resemblance to BLACKPINK’s Lisa in terms of appearance and style. Netizens often refer to Jeryl as “Malaysian Lisa” and sometimes even mistake her for Lisa.
Regarding the rumor, Jeryl humbly responded, “I’ll take it as a compliment but… My friends and I never think I resemble Lisa”, adding “But people who meet me for the first time may think we look alike for a moment.”
Meanwhile, Jeryl advanced to the final of “The Next 2023” and won the victory.
