BLACKPINK kickstarted their World Tour in Dallas: “A touching harmony that’s completed with fans sing-along”
With BLACKPINK starting their world tour in earnest, the group successfully completed their first venue in North America.
BLACKPINK held the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] DALLAS” in Dallas, USA, on October 25th and 26th (local time). The American Airlines Arena, where the concert took place, was a venue where world-class artists such as Lady Gaga, Elton John, Justin Bieber, Adele, and Ariana Grande performed, proving BLACKPINK’s strong global status in reality.
The area around the concert hall was packed with fans who gathered together to see BLACKPINK right from early in the morning. As if responding to this wait, the members raised their tension as soon as they started, and performed “How You Like That,” “Pretty Savage,” and “Whistle.”
BLACKPINK made eye contact with their fans and greeted them affectionately. “I’m so happy and honored to perform at the Dallas Arena for the first time,” they said. “It’s so nice to meet our American BLINKs after a long time. Let’s all have fun tonight and play ‘as if it’s our last’.”
The heat gradually increased as the girls performed their hit songs such as “Kill This Love”, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, and “Lovesick Girls”, which were reorganized into band versions. The performances of songs from the first and second full albums, which can only be seen at BLACKPINK concert, and the girls’ solo stages, which showed off each member’s capabilities, also caught fans’ attention.
Among them, the most popular songs were the title track “Shut Down” and the track “Pink Venom” released recently.
