As BLACKPINK member Jisoo breaks new records with her first solo album, she sent gifts to fans who have shown her support.
On April 2nd, fans who participated in Jisoo’s pre-recording for SBS’s “Inkigayo” shared their experiences on Twitter and other online communities.
In particular, on this day, Jisoo sent her fans lip glosses from the luxury brand Dior, for which she is a global ambassador, along with a photocard set and cupcakes. The lip gloss was engraved with Jisoo’s name, making it an even more special gift for her fans.
Seeing the gifts, fans expressed their joy and left comments such as, “An idol who gives out gifts from Dior?”, “Is this for real, Queen Jisoo?”, “Jisoo is the best”, and “Her personality is really good.”
This broke the record for the highest single-day sales for a female solo artist in South Korea.
Previously, the highest first-week sales for K-pop female solo artists were held by Lisa’s “LALISA”, followed by Rosé’s “R.” With the newly-achieved record, BLACKPINK members now hold the top three spots in this category.
On the other hand, Jisoo is scheduled to record her first music show stage for SBSs “Inkigayo” at 3:50 PM (KST) on April 2nd. The performance, however, will be broadcasted on April 9th due to scheduling issues.
