BLACKPINK Jennie faces physical and mental health problems due to intense schedules and ongoing controversies.

Recently, on June 12, during the BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” concert, Jennie suddenly left in the middle of a performance. BLACKPINK has had a hectic schedule lately in the past 2 months. With a tremendous amount of work, Jennie’s health is at an alarming state.

Within 2 months, Jennie went back and forth between continents to perform at the “BORN PINK” concerts and attend her personal schedules.

In particular, BLACKPINK Jennie dedicated half of April to the “BORN PINK” concert and Coachella 2023 in North and Latin America. In the first half of May, she attended the Met Gala and the Calvin Klein pop-up store launch event. The rest of the month was for the BLACKPINK’s concert nights. The alternation between personal schedule and world tour dates continued well in June.

As a result of nonstop events taking place, Jennie reached her physical limit. According to international fans, the BLACKPINK rapper supposedly suffered from food poison. She vomited and felt dizzy. The idol attended the soundcheck but had to be accompanied by medical personnel.

In the past, Jennie once had to stop performing during the Macau concert in the YG girl group’s first world tour, “BLACKPINK – In Your Area”. In speaking of her overall physical health, Jennie revealed, “For three years after debuting, we worked nonstop without resting. You know, we were young, in our early twenties. Our sleep systems were breaking down; we weren’t eating properly; I wasn’t hydrating myself”. She frequently got sick “both mentally and physically”.

However, Jennie often withdraws information about her state from fans. They usually know about the idol’s unwell condition through the pain relief patches on her body. In 2020, the idol had to use crutches to move around due to an ankle injury.

Jennie’s mental health is also a matter of concern these days. After waves of criticism hitting HBO’s “The Idol”, Jennie is also criticized for her decision to join the series. During these critical moments, Jennie kept her silence. At the same time, she is also under heavy backlash due to the ongoing dating rumors with BTS V.

Of late, a netizen reported that they saw Jennie along with Rosé, and Jisoo in a hotpot place in Melbourne after the concert night, stirring up a new controversy.

In an interview, Jennie said she wanted to throw her phone into the sea and disappear where no one could look for her. Therefore, fans are also worried about the idol’s mental health. They hope she can recover her physical wellbeing and take care of her mental health as well.
