Wearing a daring white dress that exposed her shoulders, Jennie added a large black ribbon decoration to her hair, exuding a lovely charm. Furthermore, she appeared with Australian superstar Troye Sivan, sending hand kisses and greetings, showing a relaxed attitude and reciprocating fans’ enthusiastic cheers.

She also shined spectacularly alongside Lily-Rose Depp, who is Johnny Depp’s daughter and actress, and drew attention as she gave The Weeknd a heartwarming hug.

It is known that Jennie’s debut acting work, the American HBO drama “The Idol”, was invited to the non-competitive section.

“The Idol” is co-produced by Canadian global pop singer The Weeknd and directed by Sam Levinson, who worked on HBO’s “Euphoria”. The series depicts the complex relationship between pop idols and the culture industry, where Lily-Rose Depp assumes the lead role of pop star Jocelyn. Meanwhile, Jennie plays the role of Dyanne, Jocelyn’s backup dancer, who dreams of becoming a pop star.

“The Idol” consists of a total of six episodes, out of which two episodes will be premiered for the first time through a world premiere. As Jennie, who is making her debut as an actress and entering the Cannes International Film Festival, continues her global endeavors, there is anticipation for what kind of performance she will show in the future.

On the other hand, the non-competitive section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival invited “The Idol” cast members, including BLACKPINK Jennie, to walk the red carpet.
