According to an analysis by fashion magazine Vogue, BLACKPINK Jennie is the star that got the most attention as she attended the 2023 Met Gala – the world’s biggest charity fashion event.
On the red carpet of the Met Gala, Jennie easily impressed foreign press and media with her perfect appearance and top-notch aura that’s hard to match. However, a Chinese blogger recently claimed that Jennie was ignored by photographers at the Met Gala, and even provided alleged “evidence”.
Immediately after, BLACKPINK fans were able to point out the unusual points, as well as prove that Jennie was still warmly welcomed at this year’s Met Gala.
Specifically, the aforementioned blogger shared a photo of Jennie posing on the red carpet, but the photographers’ lenses were pointing towards Hollywood star Margot Robbie, who was standing next to her. Other netizens, however, explained that this was because Jennie hadn’t stepped onto the posing platform yet, and so hadn’t been photographed. Waiting to step on the red carpet, waiting for interviews, and waiting for photos is a very normal thing at the Met Gala, these netizens said, effectively proving their stance.
