BLACKPINK Jennie denied the rumor of releasing an album in June
Blackpink's Jennie is preparing for a solo comeback.
On the 31st, Jennie’s personal label, Odd Atelier, stated, “Jennie is currently working on her album.” However, they denied rumors of a June comeback, saying, “The comeback timing has not been confirmed.”
Celebrating their 8th year since debut this year, Blackpink has begun their solo endeavors in earnest. Last December, they renewed their contract with their agency, YG Entertainment, for group activities. However, they announced individual solo activities without entering into separate additional contracts for each member.
Following this, Jennie established her own label, Odd Atelier, with her mother. Jennie hinted at active domestic activities, saying, “Please give lots of love to my new challenge and to Blackpink as well.”
Currently, she is active as a fixed member on the tvN variety show ‘Apartment 404’ and has been continuing her solo activities, such as releasing a new song titled ‘Slow Motion,’ which she worked on with Matt Champion, the vocalist of the band Brockhampton, on the 7th.
