BLACKPINK Jennie debuts as a Hollywood actress, first still released 

First stills of BLACKPINK Jennie in her Hollywood debut project was released on July 18th. 

At 11 PM (KST) on July 18th, American cable channel HBO published a still of their upcoming series “The Idol”, which features BLACKPINK Jennie, on SNS, along with an article titled “Jennie has been casted in ‘The Idol’.

Stills containing Jennie were posted all at once on official SNS accounts of HBO, “The Idol” the series, HBO MAX, and HBO’s global OTT (online video streaming service) platform.

Previously, Jennie could be spotted alongside other cast members in the short trailer for “The Idol”. Then, her solo stills were also released, showing a sexy and Western-like side of Jennie, thus drawing attention from domestic and foreign fans alike. 

“The Idol” is a series co-produced by pop star The Weeknd in collaboration with director Sam Levinson of HBO series “Euphoria”. It tells the story of a popular pop idol star in the industrial world, and features Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp, as well as others like singer-songwriter Troy Sivan and The Weeknd himself. 

Previously, there were also rumors that Jennie will star as a bisexual girl in this series.
