Blackpink’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ music video has surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 3rd, Blackpink‘s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ music video surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube at 4:02 am on the same day. It has been about 4 years since it was released on June 15, 2018.

Thanks to the steady love from global music fans, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ is breaking a new record for the most viewed K-pop group’s music video on YouTube. At its current growth rate, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ is expected to hit 2 billion views by the end of this year.

DDU-DU DDU-DU is the title track of BLACKPINK’s first mini-album “SQUARE UP”. The catchy chorus and addictive choreography helped it become the world’s most-watched K-pop music video in 2018.

The music also achieved dazzling results on various global charts. Not only got ‘Perfect All Kill’ for 93 hours on the domestic chart, but it also ranked 40th and 50th on the US Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively, recording the highest ranking of a K-pop girl group at the time. In addition, on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, its number of streaming also exceeded 500 million times.
