Daesung, a member of boy group BIGBANG, has signed an exclusive contract with RnD Company after leaving YG Entertainment.
Recently, BIGBANG Daesung concluded negotiations and signed an exclusive contract with RnD Company. The company will form a dedicated team for Daesung to provide comprehensive support not only for music but also for various activities.
Daesung ended his exclusive contract with YG last December. Previously in February of last year, BIGBANG T.O.P’s exclusive contract with YG expired, while Taeyang transferred to the affiliated agency THE BLACK LABEL and is currently actively working as a solo artist. Meanwhile, G-Dragon is in talks with YG for a solo contract.
Although the members have dispersed, BIGBANG is expected to continue activities ass a group.
Upon leaving YG, Daesung said, “I sincerely thank you for taking care of me, who was just a child, for a long time and for helping me grow and develop. With a grateful heart, I will embark on a new adventure.”
“Although it’s scary and frightening, I believe there will be definite value in taking bold steps. I still have many shortcomings, but I ask for your interest and support in my journey”, he also added.
Meanwhile, Daesung debuted as a member of BIGBANG in 2006. Ever since, he has received long-lasting love through numerous hit songs such as “Lies”, “Last Farewell”, “Haru Haru”, “Fantastic Baby”, “Bang Bang Bang”, and so on. In 2018, the team was reorganized as a quartet after former member Seungri left the group due to the Burning Sun scandal. Last April, the now 4-member group released the single “Still Life”, topping the music charts and proving their long-lasting popularity.
