“Big Mouth” Jung Jae-sung’s unique acting skills…Joining the team of anger-inducing characters

Actor Jung Jae-sung is making a clear impression on viewers with his unique acting skills in “Big Mouth.”

In the 5th and 6th episodes of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth” which aired on August 12th (Fri) and 13th (Sat), Jung Jae-sung portrayed various aspects of “Park Yoon-gap,” the charismatic director who dominates Gucheon Prison, raising the viewers’ immersion level in the drama.

In the 5th episode, Park Yoon-gap added tension by playing a mediating role in the breathtaking confrontation between Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong-seok) and Gong Ji-hoon (Yang Kyung-won). Park Yoon-gap, who believed that Park Chang-ho was not Big Mouse, was surprised to see the note in which he wrote down a real name list like Gong Ji-hoon. Jung Jae-sung drew attention by delicately expressing various emotions of his character amid the tense situation.

Regarding the 300 million won he paid for Park Chang-ho’s proof that he was Big Mouse, Park Yoon-gap confidently said, “The commission is 10%… This is my proportion. No problem, right?”. In addition, he showed a satisfied smile looking at the bundle of money Park Chang-ho took out to be the VIP in the prison and received the additional money for a free pass.

Jung Jae-sung portrayed Park Yoon-gap’s dirty aspect of accepting everything when it comes to money so realistically that made the viewers explode with anger.

In the 6th episode, the real face of Park Yoon-gap, an evil opportunist, was revealed more clearly. He visited Chung Jae-bong (Kim Jung-hyun), Han jae-ho (Lee Yoo-joon) and Lee Du-geun (Oh Ryung), who were about to go on bail, to congratulate them. He showed a regretting expression in front of them, saying that he couldn’t see any good conditions since the term was going to end. When Chung Jae-bong said he would come with good conditions upon hearing Big Mouse was dead, Park Yoon-gap said, “I’m the president here. I’m Big Mouse and Park Chang-ho is just a rat”, showing off his power.

As such, Jung Jae-sung has successfully performed the villain appearance of Park Yoon-gap, who cares nothing but satisfying his own desires. He is enriching the narrative of the drama by completely immersing himself in the character with his detailed expressions, way of speaking, and eye acting.

Jung Jae-sung is starring in MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth”, which airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m
