‘#dearMoon” project is part of an art project organized by renowned entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa, founder of Japan’s largest online clothing shopping mall Zozotown and e-commerce company Start Today. It will send a spacecraft developed by Space X to fly around the moon for about 7 days.

Earlier, Yusaku Maezawa made headlines when he announced the project and bought all 8 seats in the spacecraft. In March last year, he launched open recruitment for crew members to fly to the moon. More than 1 million people from 249 countries and regions reportedly applied for the recruitment.

They should be able to grow significantly through this space travel to help humanity and society and be willing to support fellow crew members.”
