BIBI uses profanity at university festival, issues belated apology “I will be more careful in the future”

Singer BIBI issued a belated apology for using profanity on stage at a university festival

BIBI performed at Namseoul University’s festival last April, showcasing her hit songs “BIBI Vengeance”, “Bam Yang Gang” and others. During her performance, she asked the crowd, “Are you having fun at school? Who hates school? Who thinks school is X?” She then encouraged the audience’s participation by saying, “If I act like a bad X, you should say ‘crazy X’.

After a video of the performance surfaced, netizens debated her use of profanity to describe school. Some criticized her remarks as “crossing the line” and “disrespectful”, while others defended her, citing “freedom of expression” and saying it was “just part of the song’s concept”.

BIBI, who initially did not respond to the controversy, belatedly posted an apology through SNS on June 8th. She explained, “I always make roguish remarks to hype up the atmosphere before singing ‘BIBI Vengeance’, but I think I got too excited this time and it came out wrong.”

She added, “I am sorry. I will be more careful in the future. Please look at me kindly. I am always grateful.”

Meanwhile, BIBI is known for her unique voice and distinct musical style. She has recently gained significant popularity with her song “Bam Yang Gang”.
