On July 15, YouTube channel Okiki (ㅇㅋㅋ) uploaded a video titled “The Airplane Seat That Could Change Your Life(?)”, featuring BIBI, dancer Gabee, and Ji Ye-eun.
While playing a game about choosing their ideal airplane seatmate, participants were shown photos of various public figures, including Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, Beyoncé, Byeon Woo-seok, and choreographer Vata.
When Vata’s photo appeared, BIBI looked confused and asked, “Why is Vata here?” Gabee immediately burst into laughter before revealing: “Don’t you know? They’re dating. It’s a public relationship.”
Clearly caught off guard, BIBI looked back and forth between Gabee and Ji Ye-eun before asking in disbelief, “Really? They’re publicly dating? How long have you been together?”
Embarrassed that the conversation had suddenly shifted to her love life, Ji Ye-eun responded, “Stop, seriously.” She then joked, “I’d sit next to Vata. He’s my boyfriend.” The lighthearted exchange quickly became one of the highlights of the episode.
Ji Ye-eun and Vata officially confirmed their relationship in April 2026 after dating rumors surfaced. Both born in 1994, the couple reportedly first met through church and developed a close friendship before becoming romantically involved. Since confirming their relationship, they have openly acknowledged their romance, making them one of Korean entertainment’s newest public celebrity couples.
Vata is best known as the leader of dance crew We Dem Boyz, the runner-up team on Mnet’s Street Man Fighter. He is also one of South Korea’s most sought-after choreographers, having created choreography for numerous hit songs, including: Zico – “New Thing (Saepping)” and Jennie – “like JENNIE”. His work has earned widespread recognition within the K-pop industry, collaborating with some of its biggest stars.
