“Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, with ratings increasing from 0.9% in the first episode to almost 10% in the 6th episode, can be considered a “miraculous” K-drama which has gained extensive popularity both in and outside of Korea. Among those, actor Kang Tae Oh, who assumes the role of male lead Jun Ho, also became the most buzz-worthy TV actor in Korea through his excellent portrayal.
In particular, when “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” was just a script sent to tvN, IU was named as the female lead instead of Park Eun Bin, while actor Byun Yo Han, who once starred in the hit K-drama “Mr. Sunshine”, was listed as the male lead.
However, it seems that after a long procedure where “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” was switched to SBS, before landing in the new broadcasting station ENA, the casting have completely changed. Therefore, handsome and talented as he is, Byun Yo Han did not enter the final cast.
In the hands of ENA, the female lead and male lead role land in the hands of Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, making for the iconic duo we all see and love today. Both have delivered their own unique charms to the series, creating the now highly popular “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
On the other hand, Byun Yo Han’s reputation does not suffer from missing out on this project. Born in 1986, the actor is not a public-friendly name, but he has always received critical acclaim for his complex roles, versatility, as well as dedicated working attitude.
