It was reported that a famous ballerina of the Korea National Ballet passed away.
The dance world and fans mourned the death of a talented young ballerina.
According to Yonhap News on May 2nd, Kim Hee-sun, the leading dancer of the Korea National Ballet, died at the age of 31.
Yonhap News reported, “Korea National Ballet‘s demi soliste Kim Hee-sun died the day before (May 1st). The cause of death is unknown, but it is said that the deceased suffered from depression.”
The mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital in Nowon-gu, Seoul. The funeral cortege will leave the residence on May 3rd.
Kim Hee-sun joined the Korea National Ballet in 2015 after attending Sunhwa Arts Middle School, Sunhwa Arts High School and Korea National University of Arts. Afterwards, she became a regular member the following year. The deceased was 156 cm tall. Although she was short for a ballerina, she was a hard worker who overcame her physical shortcomings with high-level skills by practicing repeatedly.
The dance world and fans mourned the death of ballerina Kim Hee-sun. An official from the dance industry told Yonhap News, “Kim Hee-sun was a great dancer who overcame her shortcomings with her skills while constantly working hard. It’s a pity that she left in such a hurry.”
Kim Hee-sun recently wrote on her Instagram, “I’m praying vaguely that someday this disease will be cured. I’m sorry to all the people who have given me unstinting affection and interest.”
