Actress Bai Lu, long celebrated as “China’s most beautiful woman,” has sparked widespread concern after revealing she is suffering from a severe and unexplained health condition that has forced her to halt all public and filming activities.
According to Sohu on October 11, the 1994-born star disclosed that her health began deteriorating in July 2025, when she started experiencing chronic fatigue, intense headaches, and persistent pain spreading from her head down to her neck and spine. By August, her condition worsened to the point where she could no longer continue filming and had to suspend her work entirely to seek treatment.
Over the past two months, Bai Lu’s health has declined dramatically. She reported being unable to eat properly, dropping from 48 kg to just 43 kg at a height of 1.65 m. Her frail state left her physically exhausted and at times on the verge of collapse. Despite undergoing extensive tests in internal medicine, neurology, and other specialties, doctors have yet to identify the exact cause of her illness, categorizing it as a “difficult-to-diagnose condition.”
Currently, Bai Lu is managing her symptoms with a combination of Western medication and traditional Chinese acupuncture therapy. After more than a month of treatment, her condition has shown slight improvement, though she remains under close medical observation.
Reports from as early as May 2025, during the filming of Mo Li, suggested that Bai Lu was often seen grimacing in pain and appearing fatigued on set. Yet, she chose not to disclose her illness at the time, quietly enduring it while continuing to work.
