Baekhyun (EXO) will be discharged after completing his mandatory military service.
Baek will be discharged from the military service on February 5th (KST) after completing his alternative military service as a social service worker.
Baekhyun was diagnosed to be fourth grade in the military service examination and is known to have been under steady treatment for hypothyroidism. Accordingly, on May 6, 2021, he entered the training center for defense obligations and received basic military training. Afterwards, he proceeded to perform alternative military service as a social service worker.
On May 10th, 2021, Baekhyun released the project album “Hurt,” which he worked on in advance with singer Seo Moon-tak before entering the training center, drawing attention from fans.
Baekhyun became the sixth member of EXO to complete their military duties after Xiumin, D.O., Suho, Chen and Chanyeol. With Baekhyun’s discharge, EXO’s comeback is also expected to take place soon. Earlier this year, Suho delivered his New Year’s greetings and said, “EXO will make a comeback in 2023,” raising fans’ expectations. EXO’s last group activity was the special album “Don’t Fight the Feeling” in June 2021.
