The 2023 MBC Drama Awards was held at MBC Media Center Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on December 30th. The awards ceremony was hosted by announcer Kim Sung-joo and actress Park Gyu-young.
That day, Bae In-hyuk and Park Gyu-young were announced as winners of Excellence Award, Actor/Actress In A Miniseries.
Bae In-hyuk is greeting viewers through the ongoing drama “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” as Kang Tae-ha, a man who prioritizes logic over emotions. Taking the stage, the actor shared, “I’m so honored to receive this award in front of so many seniors and colleagues that I respect”, adding “I want to take this opportunity to thank all the actors, including Se-young noona and senior actor Cheon Ho-jin, as I relied on them a lot during the filming.”
He continued, “I also want to thank my beloved mom, dad, younger brother and grandmother who are watching this at home. I will become an actor who is more mature and thinks more deeply next year”.
“A Good Day To Be A Dog” actress Park Gyu Young also expressed her honest feelings, saying “Every time I complete an acting project, I feel like I’ve learned so many things from the stories and the characters. That’s why I feel a bit embarrassed about myself”.
She added, “Many fellow actors and staff shed blood, sweat and tears on the set, both in front of the camera and behind the camera. I would think that I’m receiving this award on behalf of all those hardworking people. Thank you everyone so much. I will try to become an actress who always acts sincerely in front of the camera”
