BABYMONSTER Pharita, who came from Thailand, surpassed 1225 competitors in YG audition

YG released the second member introducing video, which features Pharita, a 17-year-old member of new girl group BABYMONSTER.

On February 12th, YG Entertainment published a video titled “BABYMONSTER – Introducing PHARITA” on the official channel of BABYMONSTER. The17-year-old Thai member Pharita is thus the 2nd member to be featured in this video series, after Ruka.

It is known that Pharita overcame 1225 competitors to pass a YG trainee audition. Her strengths included an unrivaled visual and physicality which resembles Disney cartoon characters. In addition, she also boasts refreshing dance, which stood out enough to capture everyone’s hearts.

Pharita has been picked as a trainee who draws the most curiosity about her future. This is because she has been actively accepting feedback and absorbing it like a sponge, and has shown rapid growth. The female idol also expressed her passion for YGX’s customized training, saying that she is finding the fun in practicing for performances, and that she wants to dance better on stage.

Pharita is a multi-talented character with excellent vocal talent as well as performance skills. She received favorable reviews at the evaluation stage at the end of the month for her skillful vocal management, excellent tempo control, and unique power. In her introduction, the female idol said, she came to Korea from Thailand, 3,600 km away, with the dream of becoming a YG artist. A precious and desperate dream of wanting to debut and stand on stage.

Pharita leads a normal daily life for a 17-year-old girl outside of the practice room. She can be seen smiling innocently at her birthday party prepared by other members, and even shed tears when her family sent messages of support via video call. Yang Hyun- Suk, general producer, expressed his anticipation, saying that despite Pharita coming to a distant place at a young age, she started laughing with confidence recently.

Meanwhile, Baby Monster is a new girl group released by YG about 7 years after BLACKPINK. The group consists of 3 Koreans (Ahyeon, Haram, Rora), 2 Thais (Pharita, Chiquita), and 2 Japanese (Ruka, Asa), and is expected to be one YG prepared for the global market.
